Call for Papers - Kick-off for a platform for love, sex, and body-positive research

Deadline: 15.03.2024

A growing number of philosophers and researchers are interested in the philosophy of love, sexuality, and gender. However, many of us find ourselves isolated in our pursuits. It is time to create a supportive network that brings together those passionate about these topics. In particular, love and sexuality demand an inter- and transdisciplinary approach that strives to navigate the intersections of power and privilege within the political and cultural landscape. The political nature of these realms requires a feminist, decolonial, and economic critique that fully acknowledges the inherent queerness of human love and desire.

We aim to establish a Berlin-based platform for love, sex, and body-positive research. Berlin is one of the centers of the sex-positive movement, yet it lacks a platform for such research and theory.

For this purpose, we are calling for Papers for the kick-off workshop at the Institute for New Body Research and Sexual Culture (IKSK Berlin) on April 17 and 18, 2024. Please find all the information on the poster and don’t hesitate to contact us.
