Professorship (W3) in Theoretical Philosophy

The successful candidate should be capable of teaching all areas of theoretical philosophy and should conduct research in at least one, preferably several, branches of theoretical philosophy (metaphysics/ontology, epistemology, philosophy of science, philosophy of mind, logic, philosophy of language). They should be willing and able to engage in interdisciplinary activities and should seek to secure external project funding particularly in areas of cross-disciplinary relevance. Interdisciplinary activity would be particularly welcome at the interface to computer science or in the university's core research area 'Europe'. Expertise in the history of philosophy is also desirable. The appointee will be expected to contribute actively to developing and implementing teaching concepts for the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes.
