Funded English-speaking MA and PhD places at CEU Vienna

The Central European University in Vienna welcomes applications for its MA and PhD programs in philosophy, starting in September 2025. 

Application deadline for funded places: February 4, 2025.

Financial Aid: All Philosophy PhD places are fully funded with a tuition waiver and a monthly stipend for 48 months. MA students are awarded financial aid (tuition discount and stipend) on a competitive basis.   

About the Philosophy Department at CEU: CEU’s Philosophy Department is internationally recognized as one of the top analytic philosophy programs in continental Europe. Its faculty has published in the best journals and presses in the world. The Department was ranked #32 in the QS World University Subject ranking in 2024. But more than that, CEU’s philosophy department uniquely combines analytic, continental, and historical approaches.
